I was born in Scotland UK, and lived in London for many years. I moved to Spain eighteen years ago, where I have taught English to people from many cultures and nations. I specialise in teaching Business English and design courses based on my students' needs and preferences. I have taught senior management and staff in many International and local companies, and helped prepare them for presentations, meetings, negotiating and even social English to help them socialise while on Business trips. Focus is not only on accuracy, but fluency too, and not only what you say but "how" you say it. So I focus on teaching my students how to use intonation and stress to make their English more convincing and powerful.

I also prepare and indeed examine students for the Cambridge exams, and many of my Business students also embark on Cambridge Business Certificate.

I have taught English face to face, on the telephone and online. All these mediums are useful, and provide useful practice for my students to improve their English.

Apart from teaching, I was the teacher trainer in a prestigious Business English school in the north of Madrid, where I have taught teachers how to improve their methodology and make their lessons interesting and dynamic when teaching Business English.

As well as teach, I continue developing my skills, and am presently working on a Doctorate in Education.

When not working I like to go running with my dogs in the mountains near my home in the West of Madrid.
